Sequoia 15.2 and Epson L3150 with Driver 13.26: Printer Paused Issue on Mac

I tried reinstalling the Epson software, removing & reinstalling the printer, etc. Nothing worked.

As a workaround, I finally added the printer by its IP address, selecting Epson L3150 Series software and Line Printer Daemon protocol, and now it prints fine. No scanner option, though, so I have kept my L3150 in the Printer List and select it for scanning.

THANKS YOU A LOT FOR YOUR REPLY!!!! IT REALLY HELPS ME TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM!!!

I try about one week to solve that issue. Scanner works well, I can print from another mac and iPhone. But from my mac it was impossible, in printing queue there was error that cant find the printer.

I'm even install remote printer but it is need too much time to wait while you print something.

So..

Mac OS 15.3

Printer current firmware version: 01.39.VD29O2

Driver version: 13.26 (I also tried 13.04 and 12.62)

When I push + to add printer, I enter local printer IP and protocol LPD.

After that - it works.

Have a nice printing :]

Lizagorudo, I cannot describe the exact steps I went through, since I am currently away from home and won’t be back until early-January.

But, basically, you need to find your printer’s IP address, which I found by right-clicking my printer (the not working quite right printer) and selecting Properties. Then, add a new printer to your Mac, using the IP address option. Select the Epson L3150 software option and the Line Printer Daemon option, and now you have a printer that works.

A bit more information, from Nova1945, same person as RoosterWild:

I’ve had no problems with this Mac or printer for years. But, several days ago, the printer refused to print - that is, the Mac said that it was searching for the printer when my Print Queue seemed to hang. I initially removed the printer to reload it. The Mac identified the printer (on my wifi) and added it, no problem. The scanner again worked as normal. But, hanging when trying to print.

I confirmed that the Mac and printer software were up to date, reset the printer on the Mac, removed and reinstalled the printer again, confirmed that the Mac doesn’t have some “rad….” file (or some such name), recommending by others with this problem but apparently with pre-15.2 Sequoia, to turn on in The Local Network list in Privacy & Security.

My last action was to load the printer by its IP Address, as described above.
