How to restore "All Tags" in Finder?

I've been clearing out some of the default tags (the color named ones) and I've accidentally deleted the "All Tags" that was showing all tagged files. Any way to restore it?

I've tried already removing `com.apple.finder.plist` but that didn't help.

defaults read ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder FavoriteTagNames

If you are using Time Machine then first change directory to ~/Library/Preferences in the Finder. Copy that com.apple.finder.plist file to your Desktop. Then, if you have Time Machine on your menu extras panel, click it and select Browse Time Machine Backups.

That will open Time Machine to that same folder location in the first sentence. Go back in time to before you whacked the Finder Settings > Tags content. Use the search window: name:finder and that will reveal the com.apple.finder.plist file. Select and restore it, choosing to replace if prompted. Restart your Mac. See if the Favorite Tags have been restored in Finder Settings > Tags.

Since I have never whacked my Finder Settings > Tags contents I am uncertain if the above will restore them.

This is basically a guide on how to tag the file/directory with shortcuts. I've seen that too. My problem is that I was stupid enough to delete the "All tags"

One idea came to my mind. There's an option of reading the com.apple.finder.plist file. Can anyone having "All tags" issue this command on the Terminal?

defaults read /Users/<your_user_here>/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist

And provide the contents of it here?

There's nothing sensitive in that JSON output. It's just a Finder config. But you can always anonymize it if you want.

I would like to compare your output to mine to see if there's something missing.
