Downgrading macOS Venture on MacBook Pro 13' 2017

I am using mac pro 13' 2017, currently I am using macos venture but I find it slow, the machine heats up quickly, and it takes a long time to open applications, so I want to downgrade to a lower macos, but my macos download process keeps having errors and cannot be downloaded.

Downgrading is a drastic option. Between Ventura and Sierra are several other macOS releases that would work well on your Mac. In reverse order those are Monterey, Big Sur and Catalina. Mojave and High Sierra follow behind those. Rather than devolve the computer all the way back to Sierra, a better path would be to give Monterey or Big Sur a shot.

Reinstall the os that was last installed on your Mac by starting in recovery mode using option-command-R. With that done, you can create a bootable USB installer for Monterey or Big Sur on a flash drive. Use that to reinstall that OS on your Mac.

Otherwise, the problem you are having wih the Sierra download is likely in internet security issue. That is addressed in the article linked here: https://mrmacintosh.com/how-to-fix-the-recovery-server-could-not-be-contacted-error-high-sierra-recovery-is-still-online-but-broken/
