iPhone Mirroring is Unable to Connect to iPhone in lost lands of the World

Does anyone is capable of using iPhone Mirroring in "lost lands of the World"? I'm talking places like:

  • French Guiana
  • Martinique
  • Guadeloupe
  • La Reunion
  • Porto Rico
  • Alaska
  • Hawaii
  • Capo Verde

For me personally in French Guiana, French Overseas Department of France in South America, it doesn't work. No matter if I set my M4 Mac mini in France, USA, or anything.

While opening the iPhone Mirroring App, I am immediately welcomed with an Alert window titled "Unable to Connect to iPhone". The body of the Alert displays: "iPhone Mirroring is not available in your country or region".

Of course it's the same iCloud account on both my Mac on macOS 15.2, and my iPhone, and XS Max with the latest iOS update 18.2.

iPhone Mirroring is not available in the European Union. Because French Guiana is owned by France, a member of the EU, you and anyone in any place owned by a member or directly a member of the EU (at least for now) will not be able to use iPhone Mirroring. Sorry. (By the way, this is not Apple’s fault. The EU restricts many of Apple’s technologies, especially since the Digital Markets Act.)

But for other small places like Puerto Rico, I don’t think that there are regional restrictions for the use of iPhone Mirroring. For anyone that lives outside of the EU and is not able to get iPhone mirroring, do what the “If you need help” section of the Apple Support article iPhone Mirroring: Use your iPhone from your Mac says by:

I hope this helps!
