How to automatically block all but necessary cookies, Safari desktop?

Hi everyone.

Does the 'Block All Cookies' option in Safari desktop block all but necessary cookies from all websites, or does it block everything including the necessary cookies?

Thanks.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

Brave browser does exactly that. It's one of the most useful features I've ever seen in a browser. I was hoping it could be done in Safari, but from what you say, it's not possible.

It's beyond annoying to have to refuse cookies for every single website we visit, session after session, day after day. I really wish Apple would do something about it.

Wishing accomplishes nothing, zero, nada. Submit feedback to Apple using the proper channel. I also think you’re just a Brave plant trying to promote a third party app as I know Brave does not have the feature you claim it does. You can choose the block all cookies or allow all cookies, that's it, just like Safari.

Brave blocks third-party cookies by default. It prevents websites from setting or reading cookies from other domains or websites, except for first-party cookies, which are set by the website you are currently visiting, so not the same as safari at all.

I’ve given feedback to apple about this on more than one occasion, which is why I said I wish they’d do something about it.

A Brave plant 😂 I’m just a regular user wishing Apple would make its own browser as fast, smooth and functional as the competition.
