I don’t see a Canon PIXMA MX920 in the Canon support database, but do find Canon PIXMA MX922.
The PIXMA MX922 is capable of AirPrint, which menas vendor drivers are not needed for most printing and some scanning functions.
Print wirelessly from your Mac to your printer - Apple Support
If you want to use the vendor drivers, download and install the current version from here:
https://www.csai.canon.com/support/p/pixma-mx922
That should resolve the driver issues.
Also check for firmware updates.
(I’d usually have looked up the firmware details for you in the user manual, but that needs to use a Mac to unpack a DMG to read their provided a PDF! I’m utterly boggled that somebody would think packaging a manual (PDF) in a DMG is appropriate too, but that’s another discussion. And these folks inexplicably did a similar thing with the Microsoft Windows documentation downloads. As the cherry atop, the Canon support website appears to be subtly broken, too.)
This doc might help with the firmware update too, but I’d look for a way to update using the printer control panel first: https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/ART116196
