Apple Devices app on Windows 11 won't trust my iPhone

The app simply doesn't allow me past this page once I trust the computer on my phone. It does a loading animation after I click "trust" and then stops after about 2 seconds. I've tried it the other way around and nothing changes. I've been wanting to sync some music from my local library on my laptop but this bug has been preventing me from doing so. Resetting and reinstalling the app also didn't work. Anyone have a suitable solution?
