Yahoo IMAP connection issues

Hello my cherished Apple community. I've been through all of, and the usual customary trouble shooting efforts to fix this issue to no resolve. Apple help, nor Yahoo help address this particular issue. Here's my predicament my mail provider has dumped me on yahoo. I've been trying for days now to get my old email to show up on my iMac 14.7.2, M1 chip. Ravaged apple help, yahoo help I can't seem to find an answer to my seemingly simple problem. Here we go. I can access my email via the web I just can't get it in my mail app. Set up new account through mail by selecting yahoo as the carrier enter all correct info it will not connect. #1 The server settings through this process does not allow me to input the IMAP settings, simply not available on this mac as it is for other mail services. #2 The settings indicate that it is a POP account although this is wrong. I have a device password that does not make a difference in this case. This mail account is functional on my mobile devices, on my iMac it is offline and cannot connect. Somewhere in the morass of settings spread throughout the system I noticed that mail might be trying to access the old frontier mail server settings, but I'll be punked to find it again. Where are the manual IMAP settings?
