logic 11.1 Managing Apple Loops your personally created
Would love to see a Logic enhancement added by the next release to enable us the ability to Rename or Delete an Apple Loop that we personally created that gets added under "Sound Packs" "My Loops" area.
Creating an Apple Loop and adding it to the Apple Loops library is fairly easy. However, if you want to rename or delete it there is no easy way to do so from the "Apple Loops" "My Loops" window.
I can understand the main list of over 31K loops should be "Read Only" but the ones we create should be "Read/Write" enabling us to right click the loop(s) and present us with a drop down window with the option to copy, paste, rename or delete in the same "My Loops" window.
Currently you have to drill down to the Library folder and Audio file to get to the Apple Loops file and then delete the loop, but it does not remove it from Logic.
When you relaunch Logic and open Apple Loops and click on "My Loops" you will still see it in the list.
You can't click on it or play it. To me it seems like there is still a pointer or instance of it remaining in limbo.
Giving us the ability to edit directly from the "My Loops" window would be supper helpful and less invasive than hunting through the Library and drilling to the file deleting and then selecting "Reindexing all loops" from the "Sound Packs" drop down window. Hopefully this will be considered for a future release.
