Some Apple and Netflix shows too dark.

I have finally discovered why some shows watched on my iPad Pro and MacBook Air are too dark and lacking contrast even with the display brightness on full.

I discovered the too dark show on my ordinary iPad would be fine while the Pro and Air too dark. It is because of the higher res screens are using HDR and washing the image out. Unfortunately I can't turn this off on my iPad Pro but on the Air you can under Systems/Battery/options check the box to turn off HDR when Air on battery only.

This makes the screen much lighter and more watchable by turning it to SDR.

Come on Apple, I've paid for quality and to see video clearly I have to use a cheaper basic iPad or my Air without HDR.

There should be a toggle switch to turn off HDR on all the devices as it's really messing with some shows.
