I have a new Sony A7 iv and was expecting it to have the latest firmware V4 but it has V3.1 and so does not have in camera Focus Bracketing, which was the main reason for buying! I have tried to download the firmware update file which is huge but none of my Mac computers will download it! I use Safari browser.

FWIW, I could download the file with Safari & Firefox. The file is 872MB.
By default Safari is configured to open recognized file archives which most downloads are stored in. So the actual file you download will have its contents extracted automatically and the archive file you downloaded (.zip usually) is deleted. The contents of the downloaded ZIP file may have a completely different name than the ZIP file you downloaded.
The file in question is a .DAT file.
