I have an iPhone 14 that’s 2 years old. And now that I have read a lot of things about the glitches the new ios update 18 has created. I am worried if I should update my phone or not.

No glitches here on an iPhone 15.
There's always going to be issues with new software and the people that get them will always be vocal about it.
There's millions of iPhone users out there running iOS 18 without any problems. It's unlikely you will en counter any actual glitches.
not sure if anyone can, I have an iphone 11 is currently running ios18.2 and have updated to every versions they released and haven't had any really problems
