Adding iMac 2016 to Apple business manager with apple configurator (for Intune Enrollment)?

I have an iMac from 2016 that I need to add to Apple Business Manager (ABM). Since it’s not natively eligible for ABM enrollment, I understand that Apple Configurator might be a solution.

Could anyone provide a step-by-step guide on how to do this? Specifically:

1. Is it possible to use Apple Configurator for a macOS device this old?
2. What are the prerequisites for setting this up (e.g., macOS version, Configurator version, etc.)?
3. Are there any limitations or things I should watch out for during the process?
