Rollback Mail interface update on iPhone

Want to rollback update. The new mail interface is cluttered and ugly

You can't go back. But you also don't have to have the Categories View either. Open your mail app. Look in the upper right hand corner for the little circle with 3 dots. Tap that and change the view to List View. Boom, the look will be as you prefer.

What is it that you felt was cleaner? I'm not a fan of the new Mail interface either, but I've done some settings changes and it seems to work well for me. After changing to List view, I made sure to uncheck Show Priority. The next thing was to remove the Contact photos. That is also what provides the large icons at the front of the mail that it uses to determine categories. To be honest, my mail looks pretty much like it did before. You will also find that if you have several mail accounts, you will have to adjust each of them to change the views. Forgot the instructions for removing the Contact photos. Go to Settings>Apps>Mail>Show Contact Photos>OFF.
