Norton VPN blocking IP address, fails to send email

Verified with internet provider that failure to send mail was due to IP address being blocked. Testing with Norton VPN off and on proved that Norton VPN was blocking outgoing mail.

Did troubleshooting with appleCare chat, several sessions with provider (LUS Fiber) and after several sessions with Norton tech, there is no resolution.

It sounds like the resolution would be to stop using Norton.

I realize that VPNs are being heavily promoted as a way to protect your privacy online. However, that only works if you are also doing many other, very specific things. Chances are, you aren't doing any of them and your VPN is doing nothing for you, other than blocking your mail.
