Can't install Windows 10 on MacBook Pro (Early 2013)
I have been trying to install Windows 10 on my MacBook Pro (Early 2013) running Catalina 10.15.7. I have tried all that I could, have done extensive searches and tried every possible ways to work around the error that I am getting while installing - including resetting SMC, NVRAM, PRAM, etc. etc. but to no avail. There are no external devices attached to the MacBook Pro and there is only one internal SSD.
I am using Bootcamp Assistant version 6136. Everything goes well such as creating the BOOTCAMP partition, downloading support files, creating the bootable USB pen drive. The Windows installer also starts off upon reboot, but when it comes to the selecting of the partition to install, it gives the error that "Windows can't be installed on drive 0 partition 3 (show details)" When I click show details, it says "Windows cannot be installed on this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled on the computer's BIOS menu." If I ignore this error and click next, it says "We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup log files." I have tried reformatting the partition from the partition selection menu, but that has not helped either.
Can someone please give me any advice on how to solve this problem. My intention is to use this MacBook pro as a Windows computer because Apple does not support it any more. Thank you in advance!
