Kernel Panic - ANS2 Recoverable Panic - assert failed: [15468]:Double Bitflip in region 1

Am diagnosing a Mac that is repeatedly getting kernel panics

After a fresh install of macOS Sequoia, the issue has returned with the following report:

This is a problem with an SSD. Most likely the internal SSD, but could possibly be an external Thunderbolt SSD (not USB) since I have seen a few Kernel Panics on this forum where the external NVMe Thunderbolt SSD will cause the problem and "appear" as an internal drive.

ANS2 == Apple NAND Storage 2 which means SSD

And a Bitflip is just as it sounds, one of the bits has changed its value. You had a Double Bitflip.

This is most likely a hardware issue of some sort, most likely with the Logic Board, unless you find an external Thunderbolt SSD is causing it.

You can try running the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected. Only a failing diagnostic is useful to confirm a hardware problem, but the diagnostics rarely detect issues. If you are still getting this Kernel Panic with a clean install, then you have confirmed a hardware problem assuming you did not restore from a backup & did not install any third party software, and had no externally connected devices. You will need to have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop to provide you with a repair estimate.
