Unread email number not showing on Mail icon.

Suddenly the number of unread emails that normally show on the homepage mail icon has disappeared, not just from my iPhone but simultaneously from my iPad. Simultaneously but separately.I have tried all the recommended ways to solve this turning badges on and off they were turned on Starting and restarting the phone and the iPad allowing notifications and checking notifications. None of it helps additionally the same thing has happened to The WhatsApp notifications and The message notifications all at the same time!Has anyone got any idea what’s going on with this?

There’s a new feature apparently that shows all unread or just unread primary messages. Mine was set to primary somehow when I updated to 18.x. Once I set it back to all I see all unread now.

Settings->Notifications->Mail->Customize Notifications

Hey there,

It sounds like you’ve already done some great preliminary troubleshooting, let’s continue, What is the iOS 18.x version on your iPhone?

Have you checked your customized notifications in the mail section in the settings?

If not go to settings > mail > customized notifications , and then make sure that all of your accounts have the badges on like the picture :

to get #of unread emails and messages to Display, swipe down to get the control center to come up.

To adjust your iPhone's Do Not Disturb settings, you can use the Control Center or go to the Settings app.

Control Center

  1. Open the Control Center
  2. Tap the Do Not Disturb icon, which looks like a crescent moon
  3. click settings
  4. Click on OPTION s ,
  5. Hide notifications Badges. UNCHECK!!!!
