I have not seen any paid testers for Apple products. With a new product launch you do see Apple give promotional products to news organizations and maybe some influencers for reviews, but that is about it. Anyone can sign up to be a beta tester for pre-release software, but there is no pay involved.

Apple rarely “gives” promotional products to reviewers. They loan products, and expect them to be returned.

To my knowledge (and I've been working with Apple since 1978) Apple has never has paid anyone other than their employees or perhaps carefully selected partner businesses to test their products. Software testing is available to registered developers or via invitation from Apple, but the invitation-only program is basically just the same as the Public Beta program, just a bit earlier. If you're interested in the Public Beta program, see:

Apple Beta

None of those software programs involve payment by Apple of any sort.

Regards.
