iMovie app not working after ios18.2 update. Tried restarting phone, reinstalling app, resetting password and location, nothing happens.

I have this problem too, I figured out it seems to be happening in projects that have only photos. If I add at least one short video clip, playback is fixed. Hope that helps!

I have the same problem with iMovie on my iPad. The 18.2 update basically renders iMovie unusable.
I've deleted and reloaded the app - no luck.
My projects are only playable if I download them to files., where they play but I can't do any edits.
Creating a new project doesn't work either.
contacted Apple. They have no solution and don't care.
Added a video, solved the playback problem but kinda messes up the movie.
I'll be sure to have a video in my next project. This seems like a bug that Apple could/should fix.

Same! When I scroll through movie, Ken Burns effects visible. When I play movie, pictures are frozen.
