i have an imac 2010 os 10.13.6 and a macbook 2011 os 10.12.6 and worked fine with my epson xp-830 printer until i left them for a week. now neither will connect to the xp-830...any ideas ? please help !

Did you check their status in System Preferences under Printers & Scanners panel? If they don't show up online there, you may simply have a network connection issue.
I've found it helps to simply use that panel to remove them and add them back when all else fails.
