I have an Apple Watch 7 with watchOS 11.2. I happened to notice that "Shazam" was listening. I do not have a Shazam app on my watch or phone. Is there a way to get rid of "Shazam"? I've seen discussions saying to control with the Shazam app or deleting Shazam. Also, I have a SE Gen 2 phone with ios 18.2 which also does not have Shazam installed.

I found the answer. WatchOS 11 added the Music Recognition widget. When it is listening, it shows Shazam. I had not heard of Shazam prior to it displaying on my watch. This was very concerning seeing Shazam was listening without knowing what Shazam was. Unfortunately this is automatically allowed to listen without user agreement. I deleted the widget from my watch.

How do you know Shazam is listening if it is not installed on your iPhone or watch? Did you ever have for installed? If so, perhaps it is hidden.
