Takes way to long to charge battery on my iPad 5 mini which was brand new when I bought on release day. But couldn’t I get N Anker usba fast charger with a lightening cord. I have 4 devices I use & onge is always charging. Thank you. I just don’t want to blow up my iPad or something.

The iPad automatically controls the amount of charge from the power adapter, so while it won't hurt to connect the Anker power adapter to your iPad, it may not help charge the battery any faster than your current charger.
You won't know until you try.
