Can I use a fast charger & cord for my iPad 5?

Takes way to long to charge battery on my iPad 5 mini which was brand new when I bought on release day. But couldn’t I get N Anker usba fast charger with a lightening cord. I have 4 devices I use & onge is always charging. Thank you. I just don’t want to blow up my iPad or something.
