hi, when searching for an artist or an album it takes up to a minute to show any result. I don'thave any issue with my internet speed/modem/provider. It started about 5 months ago. anyone else having the same problem? thanks a lot

Try holding down option+cmd as you launch Music, which opens the app in its safe mode and may potentially do some internal housekeeping. You can also try Music > Settings > Advanced > Reset Music Store Cache. If you are searching for content in your library use View > Show Filter Field.

Hold down option when launching Music and use the create library option to make a new empty library. Any change in behaviour? You could potentially test in a different user profile to see if that works any better. I.e. is the issue in your library or elsewhere in your user profile, or does if affect the machine as a whole? Have you installed the latest update to macOS Sequoia yet?
