You cannot. For the iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 16 is the end of the line. If you need or want to run a newer version of iOS, you will need to get a new iPhone, preferably an iPhone 15- or 16-series phone that is likely to have several years of updates ahead of it.

You cannot update an iPhone 8 Plus to iOS 17 or higher. If your iPhone 8 Plus is already running the latest release of iOS 16, it will (correctly) tell you that no more updates are available.

You don't, iOS 17 is no longer available. Depending on what model you have you can Update to iOS 18.3.1.

• If you have an iPhone 5S or 6/6plus, the highest you can update to is 12.5.7

• If you have an iPhone 6S through 7, or SE 1st generation, you can update to 15.8.3

• If you have an iPhone 8 or X, you can update to 16.7.10

• If you have an iPhone SE (2nd generation or later), or XR through 16, you can update to 18.3.1

The iPhone 8 will not update past iOS 16.x. It cannot support a higher iOS. If you need a higher iOS for some reason, you would need to purchase a newer device that would support it.

iOS 17 is no longer available. If you want to run iOS 18, you will need an iPhone XR or higher model.

Since Adobe has chosen to require iOS 17.0 or higher for their app, and your iPhone 8 Plus cannot update that far, you cannot install that app on your iPhone 8 Plus.

Are you saying that you have already installed iOS 16.7.10 and you want to install iOS 17 or iOS 18?

Or, are you saying that you are unable to install iOS 16.7.10 on your iPhone 8 Plus?
