Input Monitoring Issue in Logic Pro Channel Strip

It's super weird, this has never happened before! I opened a new session to record something and every time i turn on the input monitoring on my channel strip and recorded i couldn't hear anything in that channel. But every time i turned it off i could hear the track. I can also hear my vocals as i'm recording them but when i play it back with the input monitoring button on i can't hear anything, can only hear when i turn it off. Could someone please help explain how to resolve this?
