Unauthorized Apple Payments charge of 33 dollars

I authorised two purchases for 2 and 7 dollars made with Apple Payments. Later I got charged 33 dollars without my approval and this is not an Apple subscription. I have no active subscriptions and it is not displayed as refundable transaction and reportaproblem.com. The charged source is wallet, and this is clearly a safety breach on Apple Payments side.

Apple advisors couldn’t set up a return phone call as I am in Belarus and our region is banned from the world.

this is a huge security breach and I couldn’t find any help.

Please investigate this matter and keep me informed of the investigation status.

Screenshot 1 - two payments from feeling.me which I did authorise but the latest one at 33 dollars I did not.

Screenshots 2,3 - contains Apple advisor case numbers and some chat snippets.

This charge was made directly by the merchant and you will need to either request a refund from them or dispute the charge the bank of the issuing card. If you used Apple Pay, it only sends the merchant a unique token provided by your bank to initiate the transaction without giving them your actual account number. Apple is not charging you and it is the merchant that is billing the issuing bank of your card directly with the token that the bank gave you to send.

There was no breach involved in Apple's payment process and it was your bank that approved the charge, not Apple. You should check with the website and make sure you did not inadvertently sign up for a subscription that authorizes recurring charges. In this case, Apple is not involved in any billing as that goes from the merchant to the bank of your card directly. Those subscriptions also cannot be cancelled by Apple, since the website subscription bypasses Apple's ability to manage them. There are 2 questions you need to ask:

  • Why did the merchant charge you?
  • Why did your bank approve the charge?

Read the Terms of Use for their website here. You obviously have an account with them and purchases/subscriptions made on that website do not involve Apple.

The people responding here do not work for Apple. This is a customer to customer support interface. There is absolutely nothing we can do about this. You will have to try to work with Apple. Did you try starting here? Official Apple Support That is the Belarus support page. I cannot help you further on that page because when I do it defaults to my country.

I see several references to Belarus on the Apple pages so I do not think it is banned as much as you think it is. However, Apple degree of support varies from country to country and if you are not in the country to which your account is set, Apple support staff cannot help you in a different country. They do not make international phone calls.
