If the key switches themselves have failed, the entire keyboard and, depending on the model of MacBook, possibly the entire top case will need to be replaced. Cost will depend on a number of factors including the exact model and the country you're in. Take your Mac to an Apple Store or authorized Apple service center for an evaluation and cost quote.

Regards.

Modern Macs no longer use individual key-switches in their keyboards. So a modern keyboard has no possibility of servicing individual keys and must be replaced as a unit. On MacBook Pro, that unit typically also contains the battery, top-plate and trackpad.

Instead of individual key-switches, a rows matrix and a slightly diagonal columns matrix of restive film are printed on separate polymer sheets are installed under the keyboard.Your key press changes the capacitance at the intersection of row and column. On-board electronics detects the key-press, and sends the key-position code to the Mac.

The Mac looks up key-positions into characters using the current keyboard translation for the language selected at the moment.

The people who are answering your questions here are NOT Apple employees. They are other users, who Volunteer their time and energy to help you in whatever way they can.

Your current model is obsolete, and Apple does not have any spare parts. So you would need to deal with aftermarket 'junkyard' repair services to get a used part installed. Costs vary wildly.
