Unable to redeem a virtual Apple Gift Card code
I received a gift card per email. I clicked on redeem, but neglected to put in the code. My apple account says I have $100, but it won’t let me redeem it.

It does appear the Gift Card was redeemed to your Apple Account in the amount of $100. You cannot redeem a Gift Card to Apple Cash. There is no cash value to gift cards, they can only be used for purchases. See here what you can purchase with the Gift Card on your Apple Account.
