Different question. I don't think you can prevent hyperlinks from being created if the original content has them.

You would need a PDF editor for that. Preview just reads PDFs.

You can list all of the hyperlinks in a PDF document from Preview with the Inspector's keyboard shortcut (cmd+i) and then this toolbar item:

You can remove the specific hyperlink by selecting it and pressing the delete key. Although that removes the hyperlink it does not correct the remaining underline attributed string where the link was located and Preview cannot fix that.

Not that I'm aware of in Preview. But it's not something I've ever done or had a need to.

Interesting. Doesn't work for me.

I finally found a PDF document with links that show in the Inspector, after checking three previous PDFs.
