iOS Shortcuts Set Volume

I'm trying to reduce the volume when I open an app. I had this script working for two years, then I deleted it, and now I want it back again.

I can't seem to find that action in the options. In fact the options are seriously limited. I have Get Started, My Shortcuts and Starter Shortcuts, with a list of other apps. That's it.

This is a personal automation, When "Game app" is opened, the Do area is where I can't see much.

Is this broken? What am I doing wrong?

Cheers

I believe you may be confusing the triggers and the “do”s. Here is a step by step guide on how to do it.

Open the Shortcuts app and go to Automation > Create Personal

Automation > App.

Select "Is Opened" and choose the app (in this case your game app).

In the Do section, search for "Set Volume" or just "Set Device Volume".

If "Set Volume" isn't appearing, ensure the Shortcuts app is updated and that you're using the latest iOs version.

Hope this helps. If not, reply to this so I can assist you further.
