I am having issues pairing a 2nd gen pencil and an Apple pencil pro to my iPad Pro 4th gen since the 18.2 update. I have also tried pairing both pencils to my husband’s iPad (10th gen) without success. I have done the resets, turned on and off Bluetooth, searched the Internet, contacted Apple support through their app, prayed, and every other thing short of writing Santa Claus, but I am no closer to a solution. It has been suggested that I drive over an hour to an Apple Store, but travel after Hurricane Helene has been complicated where I live.
I find it very interesting that the 18.0 update is “designed for the distinct capabilities of iPad and new ways to get things done that have been reimagined with Apple Pencil.”
Yet, since the update there are complaints about the functionality of pencils, and when seeking help from support everyone is being told that it is definitely not related to the software update, and all they do is send us links to articles.
Can we just do a rollback before we were promised all these “reimagined” capabilities? I prefer ability.
