I would like to mute notifications and calls from a specific person at certain times. I have created a focus for this whereby I allow notifications for only certain people. However it is not working. Do I also need to not all notifications for iMessage and the Phone app? If so won’t this stop any texts or calls from coming in?

You can either have "Silence Notifications From " OR "Allow Notifications from". You can't have both on one Focus Category.
However, you have an option to Allow calls from Silenced People and Silence Notifications from them.

Thanks I’ll try this. It’s only one person who has a knack of calling at the most inopportune times and blasts into a conversation without it dawning on them to ask if it’s a good time. 😃I want calls and texts from this person silenced.
