Unable to unlock iPhone 16 Pro Max

got a brand new 16 pro max a couple of days ago, when i set it up i didnt transfer data from my previous phone, i decided i did want to transfer it so i reset the phone and set it up again. while setting it up it told me i had to update to continue so i did that, took about 45 minutes and it never ended up loading, so i fully shut the phone off, turned it back on and now when i try to swipe up to unlock, it glitches and goes straight back to the home screen saying hello, now cant turn it off completely either as it flashes up for a quick second and then goes away. ive done the reset trick where you press the volume buttons and hold power button so many times but nothing is helping. ive decided to take it to an apple store tomorrow but am just wondering if the phone will be replaced or what they will do, because as of right now i have no phone which is not good.
