Blocking in-app purchases for iPhone games

My husband is addicted to games on his phone and spends money on it daily. Can I make it so I have to approve his purchases or block him from purchasing?

Yes, you can block in-app purchases on a device by going to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > In-App Purchases, and make sure that is set to "Don't Allow".

If you are the Organizer of the Family Plan, then you can make prevent the in-app purchases in a similar manner and that is detailed here. I believe this will work for adults as well.

thanks for the quick response, because we are on a family account will this work from my phone? or do i have to change the setting on his phone?
