Location shows unavailable as iPhone is disabled

Hi everyone, the other day before i went out i completely forgot my iphone password resulting in it getting disabled for an hour due to wrong attempts at guessing. my location appeared completely unavailable to my s/o that entire hour until i finally got back into my phone, google ai claims that the location shouldn't be affected by my phone being disabled for an hour, and i'm hoping to prove i didn't turn off my location so can anyone provide some insight on why my location wouldn't show? does a disabled iphone also stop ur location from showing?
