Earning Apple Cash on medical bill payments with Apple Card

I have a few medical bills I would like to pay online with my Apple Card. Will I earn cash back for these purchases/payments, or should I use a different card?

Swiping the card or inserting the chip will earn only 1% in Daily Cash back. Using Apple Pay will earn 2%. Entering card numbers is only 1%.

Yes. 3% with Apple and other select merchants, 2% for transactions made using your Apple Wallet and iPhone, 1% for all others.

Thank you! Do I need to use Apple Pay to earn the cash back, or can I just enter my card number on the providers website?
