Macbook pro keeps restarting after sequoia update

Create a new thread as per suggestion in constant restarting after upgrade to sequ… - Apple Community

My Macbook pro keeps restarting every 5min when the macbook goes to sleep or when the screen display lights go off due to inactivity.

Model name: Macbook pro A2251, Intel I7 10th gen, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD

Current OS: Sequoia 15.2

Note: When the laptop is run in safe mode then i don't face this issue. This happens only in normal mode.

I am attaching the 'Etrecheck' report below

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 15.2

Thank you for being pro-active and suppling the Etrecheck Report 👍

From what I am seeing, couple with your earlier observations " When the laptop is run in safe mode then i don't face this issue. This happens only in normal mode. "

This points to the Docker Application specifically

Though, there are other issues appearing from the report

Generally, the Etrecheck application would not need to run " Runtime: 4:34 " unless there could be a hardware issue

Performance: Below Average

Low performance - EtreCheck report took an unusually long time to run.

Kernel panics - This system has experienced kernel panics. This could be a sign of hardware failure.

It is suggested to perform a Time Machine Backup asap before moving forwards with this issue

See if Docker has a more current version for Sequoia 15.2

Outside of that >>

Hardware-wise

I did reset my MacBook now and have also run 'Apple diagnostics'. There seems to be no problem with the hardware. The issue still occurs on a freshly reset MacBook. I would least suspect the hardware as the previous OS was working fine.

What has been done " reset my MacBook " and still " The issue still occurs on a freshly reset MacBook. "

The Apple Diagnostics are only a Basic Tool at best

If you believe there is No Hardware issue

It is difficulty to harmonize how, after a Reset, this could be anything other that a Hardware Issue
