After the last update to 15.2, the screen mirroring icon is highlighted in blue on the taskbar.
I have my Mac connected to the TV via HDMI, clicking "finish expansion" does nothing.
I turned off the AirPlay option on the TV, because I thought the Mac could see active devices, that's why it was highlighted, but it didn't help. https://youtu.be/qmhgFYrQIfM

There isn’t a task bar. The Screen Mirroring icon would be in the Status Item area of the Menu Bar.
That is a problem in 15.2 when you use a TV as a monitor. Hopefully it will get fixed in the next update.
Same here. Just unpacked and set up my new Mac Mini, everything was perfect. Installed Sequoia 15.2 update - now there's an annoying highlighted icon in the Menu Bar. It tells me Screen Mirroring is active, but it really isn't.
