Unable to move files to/from iCloud Drive on my iMac with Error code -36.

Whenever I try to move files to/from my iCloud Drive folder or move files within my iCloud Drive on my Mac (running 13.7.2) I get the attached error. The only exception to this is my Documents folder. I've tried turning iCloud Drive on and off on my Mac, deleting the com.apple.finder.plist and restarting with no change. I have no issues with iCloud Drive on my iPhone or iPad. Thank you for your help.

Error -36 is an "I/O Error" which means the drive most likely has a hardware issue requiring repair/replacement.

I hope you already have a good backup of the data stored on this drive.

People should always have frequent and regular backups of their computer and all external media (including the cloud) which contains important & unique data. There are a lot more new ways to permanently lose access to the data stored on the internal SSD of the recent Macs due to all the hardware, software, and security changes.
