How to adjust Apple Watch Band for a perfect fit?

Band fits snugly but protrudes 2 inches. Yes, I can cut it to size, but is there another solution?

What are the best Apple Watch bands for limited hand movement? I have limited range of motion with my hands and am having difficulty finding a watch band I can manage. The type that you just tighten and and close the clasp or something similar is something I just cannot do. I can get somebody to put in on for me and I can undo the clasp to get it off but then need help getting it back on. I have tried the ones that have flexible bands but you have to fix a loop, which I had to get help with, and after a few days it got too loose. Is there a type that uses a clasp but also is flexible? Apple Watch band is stuck on one side so I can't remove it. I have changed the band on my Apple Watch 8 a number of times with no problem but now, one side won't release when I push the tiny button. I've tried all the remedies I can find online to no avail--cleaning whatever I can reach, jiggling the band connection with button depressed, warm water, etc. Other suggestions? Watch is pretty much useless--I have to carry it around in my pocket and can't use any of the health functions.

Which size, and did you measure your wrist?
