Do you want to trade the old Mac in while purchasing a new one or just recycle it.
If the latter, you can take the Mac into any Apple store to recycle.
If you want to trade it in the go to this website, enter the type and serial no. of the equipment to see if it's worth anything for trade in: Apple Trade In - Apple. Apple will send you a box to ship your old Mac to them when you receive you new Mac.
