MacBook Pro Battery Not Charging

Installed new battery. System worked fine, but when I plugged in charging adapter, report was "battery not charging." Diagnosed three times, results stated charger not working.

Bought new 85W MagSafe 2 (specific charger for my MacBook Pro) from closest Apple store (over an hour away). Plugged in to vehicle's outlet, battery began to charge. Arrived home, checked battery level, made it to 70% from 0%. Plugged charger into wall outlet in house, attached to MacBook, "battery not charging." Took setup back out to vehicle and plugged in charger as before. This time, "battery not charging."
