How can I change Primary Email Address associated with Apple Account?

On your Apple ID that is your company email address, the email address you want to change it to is already listed as a Notification email address. This like the Rescue Email address cannot be the same as your Apple ID, so first remove that email address from your Account, then try again to change your Apple ID email address to that one. Note that the first reply reply to me is a bit confusing because it it talking about you using multiple accounts. To me it sounds like you are simply trying to change the email address used for your one account and you wish to continue to use that account. Follow the instructions provided by Mac Jim ID where you remove the address from your notifications email address, then change the address you are using as your Apple ID. You can have several Apple IDs (email ID) associated with trusted email accounts, but it's important to note that you can only be logged into one Apple ID at a time on a given device. While you may switch between different Apple IDs for specific services or apps, each device allows access to only one Apple ID for things like iCloud, the App Store, and Apple Music at any given moment.

Log out of your work email account and sign in with your personal email as your new Apple ID.

"Problem Changing Primary Email Address: I used my company email address as my primary email address when I set up my first iPhone and am getting ready to leave that company and will no longer have access to that email addresses. When I tried to change the primary email address I received a message that says the new primary email address cannot be the same as your notification email address. Choose a different email address. What am I supposed to do? Setting up a new email address that no one has, can’t possibly be the only solution. Please advise."

Ask the Apple Rep to modify it over the phone. If permitted to do so, then inform to modify the Phone Number associated to your Apple Account, to what it should be. Important: Perform a Trial & Error login session with the Apple Rep prior to ending the phone call.
