Insufficient storage for iOS 18.0 update

Trying to update to 18.0 won't allow me bc of storage

Hello,

In general, you need to free up local storage before your phone becomes completely unusable. Start here:

How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Note: deleted photos are not necessarily deleted from the phone.  You may have to go to Photos > Albums > Recently Deleted and delete them from there to truly free up storage.

Then restart your phone. 

If you free up enough storage, you can then proceed with the iOS update.
