In built display issue in MacBook Pro 2019

Looks like my 2019 MacBook Pro 16 inch is the new victim of the infamous fluxgate issue .So about 3 months ago the built in display started flickering ,so decided to take it to the nearest Apple Store ,according to them there was an issue with the screen and the logic board .The repair estimate was around 1,000 USD and they had no idea when the laptop would be back after the repair so I decided to leave the issue as it is and go on ,I put some heavy books on it and after 12 hours of the same it started working ,but now after few months the issue is visible again ,sometimes only the backlight comes on or sometimes there are lines on the screen .Did try cleaning the hinges with some alcohol wipes(I probably didn't do it correctly),so it worked for about a minute and then it was all same .So does any1 have a good solution to this issue ??

An issue with the logic board or screen failure sound different than the flexgate issue; with flexgate, a cable is broken or heavily damaged. The logic board is a major hardware failure.

In any case, if that cable is broken, or if you have a logic board that is degraded or failing, putting books on the laptop or wiping it will not help. The only way to address it is to repair it.

Given the high cost estimate for the repair, even the low end versions of Apple's new laptops don't cost much more than the estimate you received, and they will likely be 10x faster and perform better.

You could find an Apple Authorized Service Center (they are listed under Service on Apple's web site), these are independent shops that provide Apple authorized services. Sometimes they have more flexibility in what they can offer to do and getting a second opinion is not a bad thing anyway.
