Headphones adapter (Lightning to 3.5mm jack) issue with new iPhone

I just bought a new iPhone 13 to replace my old iPhone 7. I have a Lightning to 3.5mm jack adapter so that I can use my headphones but I only hear sound from the right side. The sound on the left side is barely noticeable.

It works just fine with my old iPhone and I've also tried it on an iPad but the issue only happens with the iPhone 13.

I checked the settings but everything seems fine.

Any idea?

I found the reason: it was my fault.

For some reason, in my audio settings (Settings > Accessibility > Audio & Visual) the output was set to 90% on the right side instead of 50%.

I didn't delete my initial question because maybe someone else might have the same issue.
