Firefox not loading pages but Safari loads pages for non-public web site

Safari can load my web site, just fine and Firefox (and chrome) is not able to load the page. My environment

Machine 1: MacOS 15.2 on MBP M4 16"

Machine 2: Windows 10

RPI 4: running my own DNS server and DHCP (has been working for years no issues)

RPI 4: running confluence (has been working for years)

I have my own private network (class B 192.168.x.x)

I have my own private domain foo.com managed by DNS server (and it is configured to connect to upstream DNS if it cannot resolve entries) - again working for year (10+)

Now from my windows machine I can access the rpi by domain name using all 3 major browers with no issues. I can do the same from my framework laptop (running ubuntu). And I can access that site with Safari on my MBP; however, I am not able to access the site from the same MBP from either FF nor Chrome.

I get this error in FF (NS_ERROR_CONNECTION_REFUSED)

I get this error in Chrome (ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE)

I have tried changing settings in both FF and Chrome after reading various posts and nothing seems to remediate the issue.

Additionally, I can ping the site using the DNS entry and nslookup returns back the right name (and reverse works as well) from the Mac and other machines.

I am fairly confident that it is a MacOS/FF/Chrome config issue since I can access the site from same machine using Safari, and I can access the same site from all other machines on my network (including my iPads).

Kinda looking for some advice on how to resolve.

It's interesting. Firefox is not in that list but Firefox Nightly is. I have both installed.

Also, FWIW, Brave & Chrome are in the list and enabled but they still wont connect to the site.

I suppose that your problem accessing the site is different, as it is not on your own local network, but it is for the OP.

I never got the url that the OP probably posted, as it has been redacted by the moderators, so I cannot exactly test, but I am guessing that, while the problem from the OP perspective was one of local access, from us it would be a DNS or of how a public IP will be routed to an internal machine in his network.
