How can I do a dispute on a Apple pay

Hello I did a purchase with a person that was going to send me an item and I haven’t received anything. I want to dispute the payment. I heard from people that the person is a scammer

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 18

Apple Pay is not an account for any payments that can be disputed. Do you mean with Apple Cash?

If it is with Apple Cash and you sent money to a person through Messages, then you were most likely scammed and there is not much you can do about it. Apple specifically instructs users that sending money using Apple Cash is a private transaction between 2 parties and you should not send money to people you do not know. There are no protections with any cash transaction like you would find with a purchase made with a Credit Card. The cash transaction is like giving someone $100 on the street, and the only recourse is to ask them for your money back. You wouldn't be able to go to the bank and get your money back.

Apple Cash person-to-person payments are like any other private transaction between two people, so only send and receive money with people you know.

Cash transfers using Apple Cash are generally not recoverable. In effect your child gave a stranger on the street a $50 bill. The only recovery possible is to ask the person for the money back.
