How to Share playlists on Apple Music

My son added me to family share plan on Apple Music so he could share a playlist he created for me. When I try to add it to my library, I get a popup that says I need to turn on Sync Library to add music.

is this going to sync my library to his (which I don’t want to do)?

Can each family member in the music family plan have their own music and playlist on their phone ? We do not want to see the music everybody downloads and see their playlist. We’re signed in on our own accounts with Apple but when we go to start a playlist it wants to sync the library and then we see all the music everybody has downloaded.

Collaborative Playlists I noticed that Apple Music doesn’t allow for collaborative playlists making, meaning I can’t create a playlist in conjunction with a friend/family member. I am asking that Apple considers to make this a possibility since it can be a useful tool for users who wish to expand the exchange of music, building of references, and/or archiving new found music.
